Why is it so important to have a prenatal consult?
Breastfeeding is a journey, where you might encounter bumps and twists and turns along the way. Many of these challenges are common, but that doesn’t mean they are normal. Knowing ahead of time what to potentially expect and having the tools and confidence to know what to do can be invaluable. Even if you have given birth before, a prenatal consult can be incredibly helpful as your individual circumstances and needs may have changed. You may have risk factors that you didn’t have before, your goals may be different than last time. Therefore, you may very well need to learn different tools and strategies than what you had learned before. A prenatal consult can help you feel empowered and get your feeding journey off to a good start!
